Our vacation was truly impacted negatively by smokers. We had a balcony suite but we were never able to have our morning coffee on the balcony because of smokers in surrounding rooms.

Disgusting! We couldn't even sit in our room with the patio door open because the smoke wafted into our suite. I wrote RC about this not asking for anything and I never received a email or letter back. I think the smokers should be at the stern of the ship so the breeze during sailing time will sift the smoke to the stern.

We are never taking another cruise.

Smoking passengers need their own quarters just as they do in hotels. It's time these cruise lines offered non smoking cruises!

I agree. However, you should have gone to the Guest Relations and stated your neighbors were smoking on their balcony. They would have taken care of it.
